West End was nationally recognized by NBC’s Today Show in 2007 during Al Roker’s Lend a Hand tour that featured five organizations across the county. The Today Show arrived with a truck full of donations for West End Neighborhood House.

Governor Markell signs Senate Bill 108, which imposed tougher standards on payday lenders, during a press conference to unveil the statewide expansion of Loans Plus in July of 2009. Barbara Reed, Paul Calistro and representatives from partnering organizations joined the Governor for the signing.
